Sacred music unlocks deepest emotions—victory, lament, praise, prayer, thanksgiving. From an ancient chant or today’s contemporary sounds, all our music selections are sound in composition and content. A rich collection of soloists, ensembles and occasional symphony groups rehearse and perform here. And we benefit from many of these skilled artists in our services.
Gifted leaders make a difference! Lukas Graf (choir director) and Ryan Connell (instrumental director and organist) create a dynamic program for singers and instrumentalists. The FBC choir is a combination of paid CU students and committed volunteers. Twelve paid professionals complement the group to create an outstanding blend. Listen to FBC's choir: Faure's 17 Requiem, op.48 In Paradisum
Ryan Connell also serves as music director for the Mosaic worship service. He contributes cutting edge spiritual music and video selections. He directs the Mosaic Band with contemporary, popular and sometimes challenging musical expressions of faith and spirituality. Influences include musicians such as Bob Dylan, Alanis Morisette, Joan Osborn, RadioHead, John Michael Talbot, Regina Spektor, Martin Sexton and Keith Green.
Music Rehearsals
The sanctuary choir rehearses at 9 am each Sunday morning and at 6:30 pm on the first Wednesday of every month. Contact Lukas Graf to get involved.
